Choose stellar roses from your garden the evening
Utilize standard or unique containers for your arrangement, depending on the
style you choose and the class you are entering.
Tools and materials that are helpful: Scissors with good balance and a sharp,
narrow blade. A “deckle-edged” (irregular edge) pair of scissors to trim rose
Eyebrow tweezers. A small, flat, soft artist’s brush. Cotton swabs. Cling wrap.
A plastic water bottle with a flip top to top off water in vases. A pen to complete
entry cards/tags. Pruners to cut branches. An assortment of needlepoint
gun. Orchid tubes. A small ruler to measure size. A small aquarium filter
basket for skimming debris from water in Moribana containers (clean water is
a must!). Permanent markers to touch up pruned spots on branches. Chicken
wire to stuff vases - will hold heavier branches in position.
